Nebraska Dress Code 2021-2022

The Executive Grand Guardian Council would like to provide all Bethels with updated guidance regarding dress for statewide events. It is within the rights and privileges of each Bethel to establish their own suggested attire for their events and hope this communication will provide you with some guidance as well.

Formal Attire:

  • Knee-length or longer formals, gowns, or “dressy” dresses or “dressy” palazzo style pants, pantsuits or jumpsuits. Appropriately fitted strapless, halter, one shoulder, and spaghetti straps are acceptable. (At no time should any undergarments be shown).

  • Tuxedo, suits, or sport coat and tie.

Meeting/Business Casual Attire:

  • Knee length or longer skirts or dresses, dress pants/business casual attire. All tops should be in good taste, with no plunging necklines.

  • Dress pants, or slacks and collared shirts, polos, or sport coat and tie.

Casual Attire:

  • Jeans, shorts (appropriate length), athletic pants, casual shirts, polos, or t-shirts.

Hair Color/Style, Jewelry, and Nails:

  • There is no particular restriction regarding hair color or style or nail polish.

  • From the bylaws pertaining to jewelry: Jewelry worn with official robes shall be limited to regulation membership and/or officer’s jewels, awards, a wristwatch, and one (1) additional piece of jewelry in keeping with the regalia of our Order and approved by the Executive Members of the BGC.

  • There is otherwise no other guidance or rule regarding jewelry.
