Event Recap
Written by Grace, GBHQ
The Grand Family was able to start their travels off by attending Supreme Session! Supreme Session was set at the end of July, to which we traveled to Springfield, Missouri for! There we got to have fun exploring new places, watched MNJD Elizabeth in the Miss International Pageant, see two Nebraska girls get selected to be Supreme Representatives, and we also got to see our very own Brent W. be installed as Vice Associate Supreme Guardian! Tons of memories were made, and it was truly an exciting start to our year.
During the next week we attended DeMolay Conclave, where we were able to sit in on their awards dinner and installation. Then came the dance! Like always, it was so much fun! During the coronation we were able to see Aby J., Grand Bethel Junior Princess, be crowned as DeMolay State Sweetheart!

Then we held the Grand Officers Retreat at the Hastings Masonic Lodge, on August 22nd. On the day of the retreat, we played an ice breaker game before splitting up into groups based off of our Grand offices. After that we ate lunch, then split up into breakout groups. MNJD Elizabeth played Jeopardy, MNC Klaira baked cookies with AGG Earl, and GBHQ Grace made paper dolls based off of the girls. We ended the Grand Visitation with talking about those breakout sessions, snacks, and clean up. It was a fun weekend getting to bond with the other Officers, Reps, HIKE Coordinators, and Spirit Ambassadors. Next up was Fall Workshop, September 19-20th. So everyone could get to know each other, we played Human Bingo! Then we participated in a “Y.A.R.N. Course”, which ended with a lot of laughs. After that we went out to the basketball court to joust with pool noodles and cups. Following free time and dinner were our breakout groups! MNJD Elizabeth played a puzzle game, MNC Klaira worked on affirmation ABCs, and GBHQ Grace played a set of teamwork themed games. We ended the night with ice cream, and headed off to bed. The next day we did our morning reflection, and everybody went their separate ways.

Between all of these events, we were able to attend visitations for Bethel 8, 17, 15, 63, 27, 14, 25, 4, and 5. Though I won’t get too into it, all of the Bethels were wonderful! The Grand Family had so much fun at each and every one of them! That is all for the event recap, see you in the next issue!

Jobie Spotlight!
Each month we will be choosing girls to feature in the news letter! This time, MNJD Elizabeth is handling the interviews. Elizabeth - I interviewed the top 3 and asked them 3 questions about Job’s Daughters. These are their responses:
Grace
What is your favorite part about being in Job’s Daughters? My favorite part about being in Job’s Daughters is the sisterhood and the bonds between all of the girls!
What is your favorite station and why? My favorite station would probably be Senior Princess. The New Member ceremony part had always stuck with me, and it was one of my favorite parts.
What was the hardest station for you to learn? Honored Queen, specifically the New Member Ceremony part. Due to it being longer, it took longer to learn than a lot of other parts.
Klaira
What is your favorite part about being in Job’s Daughters? Meeting so many new people
What is your favorite station and why? Guide. Because it gives me a reason to stay awake more in meetings (getting to lead people around).
What was the hardest station for you to learn? Chaplain. There are a lot of prayers to memorize, and I still don’t have some of them down.
Elizabeth
What is your favorite part about being in Job’s Daughters? My favorite part is making new friends and getting to know people from all around the state!
What is your favorite station and why? My favorite station is Honored Queen because I loved to be able to see how being in a leadership role can affect the life of others!
What was the hardest station for you to learn? I would say the hardest station to learn is Honored Queen because it takes a lot of time to learn and the words can be a little bit harder.
